Maintenance - The Benefits
Why should I choose a maintenance contract?
Properly maintaining your new car or van is important for your safety. The vehicle should be serviced regularly and in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations, to keep the vehicle within the warranty and as it is also stated in the terms and conditions of any finance agreements.
Choose a monthly maintenance package in conjunction with your finance agreement to cover the cost of routine servicing, tyres and maintenance to avoid any unexpected repair bills, subject to fair wear and tear. You will be given access to a dedicated booking team who will book any service, MOT or repair using a national network of approved garages where your vehicle will be looked after to the very highest standards. For business critical vehicles you may opt to include a relief vehicle as part of the maintenance contract to keep you mobile 24-7.
What is covered with a maintenance agreement?
Still unsure? Taking out a maintenance agreement means you should never have to pay out for things such as new tyres or an MOT test, which can easily escalate to hundreds of pounds. Below is a list of things which are usually covered by our funders, subject to their individual standards.
- Routine servicing
- Mechanical repairs
- Breakdown assistance
- Windscreen repairs
- Replacement tyres
- Replacement batteries
- Replacement exhausts
- MOT tests
- A dedicated booking service
Please ask us for full details of what is included and what is excluded. If you exceed your contract mileage the funder may continue to maintain the vehicle subject to charging an excess mileage, but they may chose not to so it is essential that you check this.
What if I don't want to take out a maintenance agreement?
If you decide to manage your own maintenance ensure that you assess the quality of the maintenance work regularly and that the mechanics are properly qualified. You will also need to buy new tyres and MOT the vehicle when neccessary, which will not be paid for by the funder.
